The Trouble with Women
Lauren Joy Kennett
10 & 11 Oct, 11am-5pm,
Brighton Art Space, BN1 1UL

Over the past year Lauren Joy Kennett has photographed women in their own homes across Hastings, responding to an open call. Mothers, women who don’t want children, women who can’t have them. The project is not finished. Women who feel unrepresented, or who have something to add, are invited to take part.

Private View: Fri 9 Oct, 6-9pm

Luci Carnall, The Bevy

The Bevy- More Than a Pub
Luci Carnall
9–30 Oct, Various Times (Closed Saturday)
The Bevy, 50 Hillside, BN2 4TF

The photography documentation of The Bevy, the only community-owned pub on a housing estate in the UK, began at the beginning of 2026. With an awareness of the difference the pub makes to its community, the hope was to collaboratively capture all aspects and angles of it, with an emphasis of how connections are made and nurtured.

Open View: Fri 9 Oct, 6.30pm
Family Fun Day: Thu 15 Oct, 4-6pm

Cathy Mathias Generational Loop

Our View..

7–18 Oct, 11am-5pm (closed Mon & Tue),

In this exhibition, of over thirty club members, Brighton and Hove Camera Club explores the festival theme ‘Feedback Loop’, each in their own way. Most photographic styles are represented from street, nature, still-life and historic images.

If Men Had the Menopause It’d Be ‘Cured’ By Now

Brighton Art Space, 1st Floor, BN1 1UL

An intimate, co-authored photographic collaboration exploring the physical and emotional shifts of midlife transition. Rather than framing bodily change as loss or decline, the exhibition celebrates resilience, self-possession, and the radical freedom of being fully seen.

Photo Fringe 2026 Symposium
Caught in the Loop: Photography, AI, and the Circulation of Images

Fri 30 Oct, 1-5pm
POST Creatives, BN3 3LW

A focused, research-led exploration of photography as a feedback loop of production, this symposium asks: how do images now produce further images? And what happens to photographic practice as it becomes increasingly entangled with systems of computation, data and institutional mediation?

Join us to explore these questions and consider how photography is being transformed by the systems through which images are made, encountered, circulated and remembered.
