memory in motion
Amelia Goldsmith & Chloë
Photographers Amelia and Chloë connected in a local camera shop; this is their first exhibition displaying two bodies of work which play within themes of motion and memory. Through the repeated art of walking familiar routes around Brighton, Amelia’s vibrant work seeks recollections of patterns amidst the constant momentum that these spaces hold, while Chloë’s monochrome work focuses on a stillness, grappling with natural forms, rooted in a sense of being that is ever-evolving.

Chloë is a self-taught photographer based in Brighton; this is her debut exhibition of visual musings. She tends to lean towards shooting on B&W 35mm film. All photographs on display were taken over the past year and were printed at a local community darkroom, where Chloë exists in a deep flow-state of counting seconds and listening to albums on repeat.
Amelia Goldsmith
Amelia Goldsmith's street photography is centralised upon capturing candid everyday moments that may ordinarily go amiss. Her body of work demonstrates a sense of belonging, combining both natural settings and urbanised areas with an editorial flair.
Amelia's preferred medium of choice is 35mm film, however occasionally she uses digital. Her digital photographs can be found on a separate Instagram account: @studi0.joy.
