Photo Fringe First Monday – 3 June
Green Room
Phoenix, Brighton
6.30pm to 8pm

After May's photo binge with Photo London, Peckham 24 and our very own Brighton Festival join us for a Photo Fringe meeting and share your photo adventures.

This month we are delighted to be joined by Idil Bozkurt, a Brighton-based maker and curator. Idil is one of the founders of the art collective New Grounds. She works with various mediums such as video, photography and digital art. After her BA in Philosophy from Kocaeli University in Turkey (2008-2012), she travelled to the UK and completed a Masters in Film Studies at Sussex University (2015-2016).

Idil’s work combines two mediums: photography and video, fusing the two to explore how images are created by digital technologies and their dissemination in the digital realm.

New Grounds was selected to exhibit in the BPF18 Collectives’ Hub. Idil also successfully completed the BPF Emerging Curators’ Training Programme in 2018. Idil also works as a commercial photographer documenting cultural activities in the South East.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Caravan Café will be open to serve hot and cold drinks and snacks before the event.
