Photo Fringe First Monday – 2 September 2019
Green Room
Phoenix Brighton
6.30pm to 8pm

Join us on Monday for a some friendly photo chat at Phoenix Brighton.

This month we are delighted to be joined by Ibrahim Azab, a London-based artist and curator.

Azab explores language, sculpture and performance within photography. Focusing on the photograph itself, he considers the photograph as an object which communicates through a visceral and physical process, highlighting the act of “seeing” and the subconscious. Significantly Azab’s work surrounds the subject of failure within photographic realism, playfully surfacing a phenomenological understanding of perspective, process and performance within the medium of photography.

Ibrahim Azab is also a formal member of Revolv Collective. He was Assistant Curator for Peckham 24 and curated Homeland, at Take Courage Gallery, London. He recently exhibited in Intro:spective at Seen Fifteen Gallery, Peckham and Elephant Magazine Summer Exhibition, Elephant West, White City, London.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Caravan Café will be open to serve hot and cold drinks and delicious snacks before the event.
