This month we welcome Tom Pope.

"Play is at the core of my practice, it is both subject matter for my works but also embedded in how I utilise the photographic medium."

Tom's photographic practice embraces performance and transforms the act of creating a photograph into a performative event. His resulting photographs are not documents of the performance events, but rather a creative record.

Pope often create performative games out of photographic processes, from the application of chemicals to the composition of images, to the printing and washing of prints.

Graduation from the Royal College of Art in 2011, Tom lives and works in London and Hastings and is Co-Director of ArtLacuna studios and project space.
