Newhaven Open: Alison Stolwood, Constable Country
I work with photography and moving image, exploring themes of conservation, ecology, habitats and gardens. My practice focuses on the significance of habitats and ecosystems. I am interested in ways art, technology, and observation can deepen our understanding of the environment around us.
I studied BA Photography at Falmouth College of Arts before completing an MA in Photography at the University of Brighton. My work has been exhibited in the UK and internationally, and is held in both public and private collections.
I was selected for Fresh Faced and Wild Eyed at The Photographers Gallery, London and have also been selected for The New Contemporaries showing at the ICA, and the Catlin Guide. I have had work in various publications including in the British Journal of Photography, The Guardian, and Source: The Photographic Review
