Ricardo Reverón Blanco is announced Photo Fringe Producer

Photo Fringe is delighted to announce that Ricardo Reverón Blanco will be the Producer of the 2026 Photo Fringe.
Ricardo first became involved with Photo Fringe through his collective UnderExposed, exhibiting in the 2020 Collectives Hub at Phoenix Gallery and contributing to conversations around collective ways of making and working. In 2022, he joined the festival programme in conversation with Danit Ariel at Regency Town House and supported Phoebe Wingrove's exhibition In The Dark at Gallery Lock In. Most recently, he served as Curatorial Mentor for the Emerging Curator Mentorship Programme in 2024, helping to nurture and support the next generation of curators.
Over the last decade, Ricardo has worked with many arts organisations in Brighton, London and Portsmouth, building a practice centred on collaboration, co-curatorial practices and placemaking. His work brings artists and audiences together, creating spaces for dialogue and peer support.
Photo Fringe Chair, Rebecca Drew, says:
"We're thrilled that Ricardo has taken up the challenge of delivering the next festival. His sector knowledge, experience and passion are just what we need as we focus on grassroots community-building. Ricardo understands the Photo Fringe magic and he’ll support exhibitors to put on a great festival.”
Ricardo says:
"Photo Fringe has been part of my journey for many years, so it's incredibly exciting to be supporting the festival at this moment. What makes Photo Fringe special is the people who shape it: artists, curators, audiences, volunteers, partners and communities. Photography gives us a reason to gather, exchange ideas and imagine new possibilities together. I'm looking forward to building a Fringe that creates connections, sparks conversations and celebrates the energy that emerges when people come together to experience culture collectively."
Ricardo has been involved in contemporary exhibitions and artistic programmes with organisations including Aspex Portsmouth, Photoworks, Fabrica Gallery, Brighton CCA, Peckham24, and Diep-Haven. Recent projects include Where We Touch the Archive (2026), presented across Devonshire Collective, Aspex Portsmouth, Photoworks, and Backlit; Labours of Love (UK Pride, 2025), co-curated with Gemma Rolls-Bentley; Traces of the Non-Existent (2025); and CLASSifications (Aspex Portsmouth, 2024) among many others.
