Estabrak is an award winning artist based between London, UK and Muscat, Oman. She is originally from Iraq, born in Iran and raised in London, after having come to the UK with her family as a child refugee.

Estabrak works across photograph, film, painting and performance. Having studied at Central Saint Martins and with a Masters in film & media production, she is both by nature & nurture a storyteller. Often lead by emotions, particular interest lies in honest approaches to silenced socio-political realities usually explored through progressive, multidisciplinary ways of storytelling.

Her recent body of work Omanis Under Water looks at the ignored socio-political discourses of Omani society through a simple and complex matter that connects us all: water. This work has been shown in London, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Sharjah and Brighton.

Estabrak is currently showing at P21 Gallery, London in the exhibition Thread of Light.
