This month we welcome Emily Graham who we short-listed for the Brighton Photo Fringe OPEN18 solo.

Emily is a London based photographer also working as a freelance creative consultant and curator. She is Cultural Commissions & Partnerships Manager at Magnum Photos, where she manages Magnum’s UK exhibitions, cultural commissions and creative projects.

Her recent series The Blindest Man is inspired by the true story of a hunt for buried treasure. In 1993 a golden jewel was buried somewhere in France and a book of clues to its whereabouts was published. Emily's series explores the community of searchers and their attempts to decipher the clues.

"I wanted to explore the dreams, fantasies and obsessions of individual searchers, the precarious nature of pursuit and failure, and in turn, explore photography’s own slippery relationship to truth, searching, interpretation, fantasy and obsession."

We look forward to seeing you there.
