Brighton Photo Fringe is dedicated to the professional development of photographers and we want to create pathways for career development into the industry. In 2016 Brighton Photo Fringe launched an OPEN especially for photographers who are between 14 and 18 years old.

20 photographers were selected by a panel from an open call. The exhibited photographs were professionally printed by BPF sponsor Metro Imaging – London’s most trusted and reliable pro lab.

Aliyah Otchere was the winner for her brilliant photograph from the series Loves Consumption. She received a portfolio review with a professional photographer selected by the winner, in this case Laura Pannack. You can read an interview with Aliyah here.

Submission details of the 2018 Young Photographers award will be announced Summer 2018.
